Introduction to Company Management
Currently the feature is only a available on request. Companies can only be set-up by admins.
A “Company” is a container which manages a set of users who all have access to a set of projects. It super-seeds the project-based management of collaborators (LINK).
Personal Area vs. Company
In case you have access to one or more companies you will see a company dropdown in the top-left corner next to the Vuframe icon once you login to VUFRAME® CMS. Using the Company Dropdown you can switch between your Personal area and any company your are part of. In case you are manager of a company you can also access the management area via the dropdown (see Manage your Company).
Your Personal Area lists all projects you have access to outside of any company you are part of. If you select a company or your Personal Area only projects, apps and SmartVu‘s will be shown which belong to this area.
Please note: If no apps, SmartVu‘s or projects are listed, it’s most likely that you have selected a company which has no projects yet.

3. Manage your Company
If you are the owner or a manager of a company you can access the Company Management Page via the Company Dropdown in the top-left corner of the navigation bar.
A. Manage Company Members
Company Members are VUFRAME® CMS users with access to your company’s projects and apps. Manage members by going to the Company Management Page and clicking ‘Members’ in the navigation bar.
- Click “+ Member”.
- Enter the email address of the VUFRAME® CMS user you want to add to your company.
- Select the Role you want to assign the new user.
- Check “Create VUFRAME® CMS account” in case the user does not have an CMS account yet.
- Click “Invite”.
An invitation email will be sent to the VUFRAME® CMS user’s email address.
- Click “Remove Access” at the end of the entry of the VUFRAME® CMS user you want to remove.
The user will not have access to your company anymore.
B. Manage Company Users
Company Users are persons you have invited to access your company’s app with access to your company’s apps. In case you are using the App User Login Add-on the users of your company are able to login to all apps using the Add-on.
Manage users by going to the Company Management Page and clicking ‘Users’ in the navigation bar.
- Click “+ User”.
- Enter the name and email address of the person you want to add to your company as a user.
- Click “Invite”.
An invitation email will be sent to the person’s email address. The invitation email includes the link to the Company User Portal, which the user should bookmark (read more about the Company User Portal below).
Revoking User Access
- Click “Revoke Access” at the end of the entry of the company user you want to remove.
- The user will be disabled.
Revoked users cannot login to any apps or the Company User Portal any longer. They will still be listed and can be re-enabled any time.
4. Company User Portal
The Company user portal allows Company Users (non-CMS Users) to manage their account and reset and reset their password.
Please note: currently there is no other functionality provided to company users.
A. Accessing a Company Portal
Company Users should bookmark the Company Portal Link included in the invitation email they have received.
Your Company Users can go to http://companies.vuframe.com to request an overview of all Company Portals associated with their email address.
